En août 1891, la revue américaine Harper’s magazine publiait dans son numéro 495 un long article signé J.-H. Rosny : "Nihilists in Paris".
Le numéro précédent de Harper’s magazine annonçait : "Our next number : J.-H. Rosny, one of the most brilliant of the new French writers, will contribute to the August Number a striking article on "Nihilists in Paris", with graphic sketches from the pensil of P. Renouard."
Cet article, illustré par Paul Renouard, n'est pas une traduction, il a été écrit, puis publié directement en anglais.
Rappelons que c'est grâce à Theodore Child, correspondant en France pour Harper's Magazine, que ce texte signé J.-H. Rosny a pu être publié dans ce magazine prestigieux.
Il est fort probable que cet article, ainsi que "Socialism in London" (1888) soient de J.-H. Rosny aîné, mais je n'ai aucune preuve pour étayer mes dires.
